Meditation Instruction at Karma Thegsum Chöling Jacksonville
Meditation is the fundamental
practice of all Buddhist traditions. We meet for Shamata meditation practice every Tuesday &
Wednesday evening at 7:00 pm. This is a period of silent sitting
and walking meditation that lasts for about one hour. If you
are interested in Tibetan Buddhist meditation, you are most welcome
to attend.
Instruction in Shamata, also called Shinay (calm
abiding) meditation is available through the center at no charge. Instructors at Karma Thegsum Chöling
Jacksonville have received approval to teach the Buddhist method
of meditation from the Abbot of Karma
Triyana Dharmachakra Monastery. Donations are welcome & accepted. See Our Newsletter for more information about upcoming classes.
